AWARDS
Swiss International Air Lines Seal of Approval 2004

ageing : This wine will age well, but with early drinking charm.

in the vineyard : This 15-year-old vineyard trained on Perold trellises is planted on well-drained shale soils. Good canopy cover compensating for heat reflection from the shale, together with an open bunch zone for aeration was achieved through controlled pruning and limited summer canopy manipulations.

about the harvest: Hand harvested at optimum ripeness, once the berries turgidity had slightly decreased and the pips ripe to taste. Obtaining optimum concentration of sugars and aromatics and limitation of harsh, dry seed derived tannins.
