This rich, complex variety is especially suited for the Mediterranean climate of the Paarl area. This is proven by Boland Kelder Shiraz twice being awarded the Best Shiraz in the World at the International Wine and Spirits Competition for '98 and '00 vintages.
about the harvest: Boland Shiraz grapes come from the Paardeberg and are handpicked during beginning to mid March.
in the cellar : The finest grapes are selected and fermented in stainless steel tanks and matured with 70% American Oak & 30% French Oak for twelve months.
