Wine Magazine’s Best value Wine Guide 2004 - 3 stars
Deep plum colour. Ripe black cherry flavours supported by a cedary vanilla oak spiciness. Medium body with the unmistakable lead pencil Cabernet influence. A sweet red berry Merlot contribution lingers on the finish which shows a food friendly dryness. Further maturation in the bottle will expose more of the sweet fruit characters.
Best with bredies, potjiekos, and pasta dishes.
