Rustenberg Stellenbosch Syrah 2004

Steve Tanzer's International Wine Cellar, Online Edition - 91 Points
Wine Spectator August 2007 - 92 Points

Deep purple inky hues. Hugely impressive aromatic spectrum reminiscent of great Rhône wines. The aromas start off savoury and meaty, then develop very concentrated and complex perfume and spice notes with cloves, cinnamon and violents being prominent. The palate entry exhibits tremendous concentration of flavour and fruit tannin, which surprisingly finishes fresh and dry.
