Graham Beck The Ridge Shiraz 1997

Deep, rich plummy colour. A bouquet that’s intensely warm and smoky in character, with distinctive hints of spice. On the palate, the fruit emerges beautifully and in superb symmetry with the wood. It’s ready to be enjoyed now, but with further bottle maturation, this wine’s excellent structure will allow hidden layers to develop in a most impressive manner. (This wine won a Gold Medal at the 1999 Concours Mondial de Bruxellex International Wine Competition.) Delicious with oxtail stew, moussaka, venison, goulash and lamb chops.
