Stonehill Bristle Red 2006

Bright, ruby red with youthful, blue tinged rim. Assertive nose is a mingle of ripe berry fruits, flowery fragrance, spice and a hint of clean oak. The second aromatic wave brings a focus of blackberry, mullberry and dark cherry. Smokey notes from subtle oaking adds to the complexity. Soft, yet active flow across the palate with supple, juicy tannins giving good grip. Full range of sweet, ripe berry flavours develop all the while in the mouth. Subtle hint of fynbos in the aftertaste emanates from the Shiraz component.
