The wine has a ruby red and bright colour. Soft hints of spice and vanilla well supported by red berry fruits. Gentle pleasing taste well supported by lingering vanilla and red fruit flavours. A well balanced wine that lends itself to its daily enjoyment and fun.

about the harvest: February / March 2008

in the cellar : Gentle crushing of grapes. Up to 30% whole berries were allowed in the mash. Three rack and return transfers were executed daily during fermentation. The entire process was carried out with the aid of overhead gantry cranes and satellite tanks to enable minimum handling and the use of gravity to preserve fruit flavours. The wine was matured in varying ages of 300 litre French oak barrels for a periods of 8 - 10 months.
