Intense colour ranging from dense purple with violet highlights to almost black. The nose is seduced by powerful aromas which evoke dark fruits such as black cherry, blackberry and plum, underpinned by fine spicy nuances of vanilla and tobacco and a subtle earthy-mineral note. A flavour of fine dark chocolate reflects this wine's ageing in the cask. Spicy flavour on the palate with slightly peppery and juicy berry overtones.
