Appearance: Beautifully rich and dark, almost black in colour.
Flavours: The wine shows abundant mulberry and plum aromas with subtle hints of violets, white pepper and spices. The palate is rich and complex with layers of intense blackberry fruit and spicy wood.

Serve with slow simmered oxtail and roasted potatoes.

in the vineyard : In the Vineyard: 11 year old vines yielded the fruit for this wine, trellised and planted on a south-westerly facing slope. Irrigation is available in the form of supplementary drip but due to the structure and make up of the soul it was rarely needed.
