in the vineyard : Trellised vines aged 8 – 15 years planted yielded thegrapes for this wine. The vineyards received supplementary drip irrigation andproduced 8 - 15 tons per hectare. 

about the harvest: 

Breedekloof Grapeswere healthy and showed signs of physiological ripeness at lower sugar content.The harvest here was much earlier than usual.

 Swartland / Malmesbury - the old adage that a light wheat cropprecedes a light grape crop, appears to hold true for the 2010 harvest. Grapeanalyses were generally good and practically all the white grapes were crushedbefore the March heat wave.

 Coastal Region - cooler conditions resulted in wines withgood fruit and great body. Winemakers enthuse about phenolic ripeness, finesseand structure.
