in the vineyard : This is the first Shiraz which was made under the Kloovenburg label. This wine was made from the new â€œ1Aâ€ clone.

about the harvest: The grapes were harvested in February, the residual sugar averaged 25.4Âº Balling and the total acidity was measured at 5.5 grams/liter.

in the cellar : The wine was aged for 12 months in new American Oak barrels. Pieter believes that Shiraz will do extremely well on Kloovenburg, because of the terrior of the farm. Thatâ€™s why he claimed that â€œthis is Shiraz countryâ€.
