Villiera Cellar Door Chenin Blanc 2004

The 2004 is the 3rd Chenin Blanc to be released under the "Cellardoor" label. For greater complexity we selected fruit from two of our best Chenin Blanc vineyards. The fruit was picked fully ripe to ensure soft acidity and a rich tropical character with hints of citrus and pineapple.

    ageing : This wine should last for at least four years from vintage
    in the cellar : The powerful structure was also designed to cope with extended barrel maturation for five months. During this time the wine remained "sur lie" and regular "batonage" was performed. The result is a blockbuster Chenin Blanc with great ageing potential.
