Jean Daneel Signature Red 2008

The wine has strong black berry flavors, firm tannins and good integration between fruit and wood with a very long ageing potential. Also whiffs of spice, pepper and tobacco.

in the cellar : After the grapes arrived at the cellar it underwent cold maceration for 2 weeks. Thereafter the fermentation started and it fermented for 4 weeks until dry and then only pumped into the small French oak barrels for ageing. The wine stayed in the barrels for 33 months, of which 40% are new.
