in the vineyard : This is regarded as one of the finest vintages in the last 20 years. Mild conditions throughout the growing season and a warm, dry summer resulted in perfectly healthy, ripe fruit being harvested.

in the cellar : Careful vineyard selection followed by berry sorting in the cellar provided perfectly sound, ripe berries which were then fermented in a combination of stainless steel tanks and open top wooden fermentors. The wine spent a period of 24 months maturing in French oak barriques before bottling in April 2010.
