The wine displays an attractive red colour with loads of ripe fruit and spice on the nose, including pepper, dark berries. On the palate it has layers of flavour and finishes elegantly.

    in the vineyard :  Our established trellised vineyard was blended with a small block of old "bush vine" Shiraz, to create a spicy Shiraz.

    about the harvest: The 2013 vintage was a good red wine vintage for Villiera, producing wines with elegance and freshness.

    in the cellar : Malolactic occurred in tank after which it was racked. Due to the delicate nature of the wine only 30% was barrel matured in new French oak.
