Deep ruby. Delicate, with aromas of cherries, violets and green peppers. A medium- to full-bodied red, well balanced and with soft tannins. Flavours of ripe cherries, some plummy fruit, and spice.

ageing : This wine is enjoyable now, but has so much structure that it will develop even more complexity when cellared for the next 3 to 4 years.

about the harvest: All three grape varieties were harvested at an average Balling of 22.5° from the middle of February till the middle of March 1997.

in the cellar : The grapes were fermented and matured in small French oak separately and the assemblage only made prior to bottling.
