It is lively, fresh and young, yet surprisingly complex in flavour with just the right balance between wood, fruit and tannins. in the cellar : Nederburg Duet was first released in September 1993, to enhance the Nederburg range while at the same time satisfying those in search of a young, medium-bodied, â€˜ready for drinkingâ€™ red wine with the added bonus of further maturation potential. Thorough research was done and many experiments conducted to determine the optimum blend of cultivars - the balance between wood and fruit, the tannic structure and all the other important factors - to make this unforgettable wine. Thirty percent of the wine was matured in large capacity oak vats for nine months.
