Nederburg Chenin Blanc Reserve 2000

It has ripe fruit with complex flowers. Battonage has resulted in a wonderful complex wine with full, rich, fruity flavours. Powerful at 14% alcohol, the wine is hugely intense with dried peaches and apricots on the nose complemented by melon and banana tones and well balanced vanilla-oak. It is buttery with a generous mouthfeel and long aftertaste. Enjoy with white meat dishes, creamy sauces, mushrooms, fish and most seafood.

in the vineyard : The Nederburg Reserve Range exemplifies the belief of the modern day founder of Nederburg, Johan Georg Graue, that “Good wine starts in the vineyard”. This is still the philosophy today. The Nederburg Chenin Blanc Reserve 2000 vintage was made from specially selected, low yield, cool slope vines.

in the cellar : The Chenin Blanc was fermented in new small oak barrels (50% French oak and 50% American oak) with a six month maturation “sur lie”.
