Nederburg Chenin Blanc Reserve 2002

The Nederburg Reserve Range exemplifies the belief of the modern day founder of Nederburg, Johan Georg Graue, that “good wine starts in the vineyard”. This is still the philosophy today. The grapes for the 2002 reserve were selected from bush vines grown on cool slopes in the best terroir and having a low fruit yield, resulting in a wine where the ripe tropical fruit and honeyed apricots are in perfect balance with subtle nuances of oak. The combination of ripe fruit, crisp acid and barrel fermentation flavours (30% fermented in new 300L French oak barrels) ensures a pleasant, luscious palate and a lingering aftertaste. Perfect companion for seafoods, creamy fish or chicken dishes, veal, mushroom or any generous white dishes.
