The Nederburg Reserve Range exemplifies the belief of the modern day founder of Nederburg, Johan Georg Graue, that “good wine starts in the vineyardâ€. This is still the philosophy today. The grapes for the 2002 reserve were selected from bush vines grown on cool slopes in the best terroir and having a low fruit yield, resulting in a wine where the ripe tropical fruit and honeyed apricots are in perfect balance with subtle nuances of oak. The combination of ripe fruit, crisp acid and barrel fermentation flavours (30% fermented in new 300L French oak barrels) ensures a pleasant, luscious palate and a lingering aftertaste. Perfect companion for seafoods, creamy fish or chicken dishes, veal, mushroom or any generous white dishes.
