The wine has an intense nose with lavender, violets mixed with black berries, wood spices and vanilla. On the palate it is full-bodied with lovely and intense berry and fruit flavours and full-round , soft tannins that finishes with fruit and vanilla flavours.

The grapes came from trellised vineyards in the Stellenbosch and Durbanville areas planted at 190 to 310 metres above sea level from 1983 to 1993.

about the harvest: The grapes were picked by hand between 23 and 24° Balling at the beginning of April.

in the cellar : The wine was matured in wood for 18 months - 51% in new French oak casks, 6% in new American oak casks and 43% in second-fill french oak casks.
