Unbeknownst to many, there exists a 1997 vintage of this wine. A lost vintage, made with crushed grapes and not the whole berries used today, it was kept back - too extracted, too tight in tannin structure to be released so young. We have waited for 20 years for this piece of history, labour and luck to be ready, and finally after 2 years of barrel maturation and 18 years of further bottle ageing, it is finally ready for release.
This wine is bottled unfiltered and unfined, as per the ancient methods, and may require decanting.
