Pro Amico Merlot Shiraz 2010

This wine shows opulent aromas of prunes, black berries and cassis, with an undertone of gun smoke and cigar box. The palate is smooth, integrated with a soft acid finish that complements the structure of the wine. The wine will benefit from ageing, getting better each year.

This wine can be enjoyed with any meat dish, but in particular with sushi, duck, chicken and ostrich.

"..it's a really pleasing if not super-complex drink. The nose shows red fruit, some appealing herbal character as well as the first signs of development which only adds interest. The palate is medium bodied with nice freshness and fine tannins – very more-ish relative to all those big and bold reds out there."
