An opulent wine with notes of mulled spices, dates, ripe strawberries, raspberry and a hint of cedar on the nose.The palate is fresh with great acidity, supported by deliciously supple tannins and intense red berries.
Best served with casseroles and game dishes or as an alternative try it with dark chocolate truffles.
The grapes were hand harvested from north western slopes on the Groenberg, destemmed and gently crushed. A warm ferment ensured optimal colour extraction and the expression of typical black fruit notes. The wine was aged in French and American oak for a year.
