in the cellar : Nederburg Blanquette represents our very first venture into bottle fermentation. The name Nederburg Blanquette Cap Classique de Chardonnay means Nederburg sparkling white wine, bottle fermented from Chardonnay. Unpretentious and a tribute to those original exponents of the Méthode Champenoise, the French. The nature of the Chardonnay grape is such that it lends itself ideally to wood maturation. In the case of Nederburg Blanquette, this unique Chardonnay character has been further enhanced by part maturation of the base wine in small wood.
