in the vineyard : Grapes were selected from areas ideal for growing both varieties, namely Swartland and Paarl.

about the harvest: Picked at optimal fruit ripeness.

in the cellar : The Pinotage and Shiraz component was matured in 225-litre French oak barrels for 12 months.
Picked at optimal fruit ripeness, sorted, de-stemmed, crushed, cold-soaked and fermented at between 25 °C and 28 °C with regular pump-overs and punch-downs to ensure optimum extraction of colour and flavour.
