Genesis Shiraz 1999

Deep red wine with ruby hue. Spicy ripe fruit aroma on the nose, as well as hints of bracken and coconut. Soft, ripe fruit on the palate with ripe fine tannins, excellent structure and a long plummy finish, supported but not dominated by judicious oak. Good choice of wine to compliment the different characters of meat dishes associated with South Africa, like kudu, or ostrich.
