Genesis Shiraz 2000

Michelangelo International Wine Award 2002 - Gold
Deep red colour. Spicy ripe fruit and liquorices aroma on the nose, with hints of bracken and coconut. Soft, ripe fruit on the palate with ripe fine tannins, excellent structure and a long plumy finish, supported by subtle oak. Good choice of wine to compliment the different characters of rich meat dishes associated with South Africa, like Kudu, or Ostrich.

in the cellar : 18 Months in 80% 300L French barrels and 20% 300L American of which half was new.
