Deep mulberry colour with lots of freshly cracked pepper, dark coffee chocolate and cherry tabacco. Fairly chunky and firm in the mouth, with smoky tones and good palate weight. Firm, dry tannins, with a repeat of smoky oak and stewed fruit in the finish. The full body lends itself to a lovely food wine, though it's hard to beat a bottle of Shiraz with some fine cheeses.
