International Wine & Spirit Competition 2004 - CommendedThis wine has a deep garnet colour with a youthful red tint and shows the characteristics of the Paarl area. It is a typical New World wine – very upfront fruit. On the palate there are soft tannins, well balanced with wood vanilla. The perfectly ripened Shiraz produces a wine that is fresh and fruity, a well integrated wine with smoky characters complemented by subtle berry and spicy flavours on the palate.
ageing : Although accessible when young, this Shiraz has a good maturation potential of seven to ten years.
