The wine is deep plum in colour with a youthful edge. Pronounced flavours of mint and sweet berry are complemented by caramel and vanilla. A proud and well-balanced wine with a soft, velvety entry, rich mid-palate and lingering, fresh aftertaste.

ageing : Enjoy now, or within 8 to 11 years from harvest.

in the vineyard : Trellised vines that are between 10 and 15 years old and planted on southwest-facing slopes yielded the grapes for this wine. The vineyards received supplementary drip irrigation and produced 6 to 7 tons per hectare.
Soil type: Hutton and Clovelly.

about the harvest: The grapes were picked at 25° Balling.

in the cellar : The bunches were destemmed and the grapes underwent maceration prior to fermentation in stainless steel tanks. The wine was left on the skins for 20 days. It then spent fourteen months in French and American oak barrels. To preserve the complexity, neither filtration nor stabilisation was undertaken.
Cases produced: 3 023 x 6 bottle cases.
