Best in Class Silver - International Wine and Spirit Competition (IWSC) 2005
This distinctive Bordeaux cultivar wine has inviting aromas of almonds, chocolate and pencil shavings. The palate is full and round with ripe chewy tannins and flavours of coffee and cherries with a touch of liquorice and cigar box. The wine has a firm finish that is complemented by luscious and lingering sweetness. Although accessible now, this wine will improve with up to 10 years.
Serve with rare roast lamb, lamb knuckles stewed red onions, or a rich pork terrine.
