Lots of oak on the nose, sweet and brambly. Possibly the best vintage of the decade so far. It is in the same class as the 1994 (5 Star in WINE magazine). A generous structure which supports good tannin and ripe cherry fruit. A spicey raspberry nose. Aromatic and peppery.
