This Cabernet Sauvignon/Merlot blend shows a dark, crimson red in the glass. The nose oozes charm. Fruit a plenty â€“ reminiscent of a punnet of juicy, sun ripened berries with a dusting of spice from the oak. The palate is smooth and the delicious fruit flavours mingle with the oak. The tannins are soft and ripe.

A wine to enjoy with barbequed chicken, pork kebabs, pastas, grilled or roasted vegetables and cheese.

ageing : Although drinking well already, the wine should hold for another 4 to 5 years.

in the vineyard : 12 and 13 year old trellised vines on R 110 rootstock. Clovelly type, weathered topsoil on a layer of granite, above a crumbly clay sub-soil.
Yield: 7 â€“ 8 ton /HA

in the cellar : Grapes were destalked and fermented with NT 112 yeast in stainless steel red wine tanks. After malolactic fermentation the wine was oaked in French oak for 6 months.
