in the vineyard : This blend always consists of a minimum of 85% Sauvignon Blanc sourced from Paarl, Franschoek and Constantia.

about the harvest: The components of the blend that are vinified at Steenberg are picked at optimum ripeness.

in the cellar : This wine is a blend that consistently yields a light but fresh style of Sauvignon Blanc year on year. This blend consists of Sauvignon Blanc with Semillon, Muscat d’Frontignan and Colombar. These cultivars add a wonderful aroma to the wine as well as some body to the finish without overpowering the light Sauvignon Blanc character. After harvesting the grapes were pressed gently, racked clean and fermented with a yeast selected to bring out the character of the fruit. After blending the wine was fined and stabilized before being filtered into bottle.
