Morgenhof Estate Sauvignon Blanc 2008

This wine has a lovely clear colour. This is a distinctive varietal wine with flavours of asparagus, green peppers and gooseberries. These flavours follow through onto a full palate with a clean mineral crispness that lingers delicately in aftertaste.

This wine should be enjoyed with light salads, asparagus, grilled chicken and fish or as an aperitif.

ageing : This wine should reach its best potential from September 2008 onwards. Due to the fresh acidity and loads of fruit, this wine could easily mature until 2010.

in the vineyard : Production area: Simonsberg-Stellenbosch. Produced and bottled on Morgenhof Wine Estate, 4km from Stellenbosch and 25 km from Paarl on the R44. This wine is produced from a selection of different Sauvignon Blanc blocks. The vineyards are between 8-27 years old and all the vineyards are hand-harvested.
