Deep maroon centre withlight ruby red rim. Wine has aromas of cherry-tobacco with ripe black fruit with hints of peppery spices that follow through on the palate. Balanced wine with well integrated, ripe tannins.

in the vineyard : 10 ha trellised vines from different clones (CS 15 M, CS 46 C) planted in 2000/1 on fertile Oakleaf soils with micro irrigation delivering an average production of 3.5 - 6.9 tons/ha.

about the harvest: Cold, wet winter and perfect summer with regular intervals of rain with warm days and cool summer nights resulted in healthy grapes. 2 week prior to harvest the unwanted bunches were removed. Perfectly ripe quality grapes were handpicked for this wine.
