The wine won a Veritas Double Gold Medal in 1998.
in the vineyard : The Cabernet Sauvignon vines are situated between 200 and 350 metres above seal level. It faces north and north east and was planted between 1973 and 1986.

about the harvest: The grapes were picked by hand at 22,5º to 23.5ºBalling from 13 to 27 March. The yield was 4 tons per hectare.

in the cellar : The juice fermented on the skins at 25º to 30ºC for 7 days. The wine was withdrawn from the skins 10 days after fermentation. After malolactic fermentation the wine was wood matured for 18 months - 50% in new casks and the rest in second-fill casks.
