Boland Cabernet Sauvignon 2002

This red variety is certainly the oldest and most widely planted variety in South Africa. The grapes for this wine come from the coastal village of Durbanville and from a variety of vineyards in the Paarl area. These grapes create a dark, ruby red, full-bodied wine with an intense blackcurrant bouquet and well-integrated wood flavours.Undertones of mint and cigar box flavours are also evident in this complex and soft wine with its strong lingering aftertaste.

in the cellar : Selected the healthiest grapes. Fermented in tanks until dry. The wine is racked, the skins are pressed and malo-lactic fermentation is completed. The wine matured in new small American and French oak barrels for twelve months.
