The winemaking style enjoys traditional barrel fermentation with 30 % new French oak being employed to enhance seven months of yeast maturation. Complex and delicate with layers of yeasty lime and melon flavours occasionally harmonized by the smell of squashed apple and strawberries.

in the vineyard :  The name Missionvale stems from the historical site of possibly the regions first building - that of the Moravian mission hospital established on this property in 1822.

The 2009/2010 summer was a dry season with low rainfall which impacted favourably to present a small harvest at vintage 2010. Quality has been the trademark of these wines and this bottling is no exception. Excellent fruit analyses was achieved presenting a bold full bodied wine of notable character.
