Delheim Pinotage 2011

Deep ruby red colour. Aromas of black cherry, plum and red berry fruit, backed by dark chocolate and floral notes. The palate shows red and black berries, with fine soft tannins that linger on the palate. Top Twenty in ABSA Pinotage Competition 2012.

in the vineyard : From bush vine and trellised vineyards situated in the Muldersvlei bowl.

in the cellar : The juice was fermented in roto-tanks and upright fermentors with the aid of selected yeast strains. Pump- overs were carried out six times daily, until 5°B, followed by pressing. The wine was matured for twelve months in French oak barrels (22% new).
