Tasty ripe cassis and blackberry flavour is complemented by a cocoa and turned earth nuance in the mouth. Deep, dark, deliciousand tantalizing.. There’s a velvet, silky seductive caress to the texturebut ample power, density and concentration to balance it. Structured,elegant and rich yet still light and delicate. Subtle coffee nuance to the long aftertaste.

in the vineyard : These grapes are specially selected from the Groenekloof ward in the Darling area. This area is unique for its warm days and cool nights. This, together with the deep red soils shows up beautifully in the wine as a mix between dark and red fruit avours, good concentration and a soft juicy tannin structure.

about the harvest: The grapes are picked by hand in the early morning hours ,to ensure that the flavours stay intact.

in the cellar : Grapes are then transported to the cellar and transferred into 10 000 stainless steel tanks. Cold maceration takes place for 2 days to extend the extraction time on the skins. It is followed by alcoholic fermentation. After fermentation the wine is drained from the skins and the skins are pressed. The free run wine and the press wine is matured in 225 and 500 2nd and 3rd fill French oak and stainless steel tanks for approximately 12-14 months.
