Deep ruby edge with dark center showing some gentle wood, youngberries, plums and violets. Fully dry with ripe tannins. Well integrated acid and alcohol. Good length and depth.
This really typical Pinotage, in more of a French style, is drinking very well now.

ageing : Four to six years from vintage. Drinking well now.

in the vineyard : Vines are on a very low trellis stystem planted in river-bed boulder ground. At veraison bunches are trimmed to retain low yields of quality grapes.

in the cellar : After careful vinification the wine is left to settle in tanks then matured for 12 months in Frnech Oak barriques of various ages.
Bottles will contain some sediment as the wine is unfiltered.
