The only Shiraz vineyard on GlenWood finally achieved the desired balance to produce premium quality grapes. Well balanced growth delivers even ripeness and beautiful structure.

in the vineyard : 

Vine age: 13 years.
Density: 2645 vines per hectare.
Yield:10.0 tons per hectare.

about the harvest: Only the best grapes were picked at 25.5°B.

in the cellar : Grapes were fermented in small open-top fermenters. Punched down by hand 6 times daily until fermented dry. Grapes were gravity fed to press. After pressing, the wine underwent natural malolactic fermentation in barrel. Wine was matured for 24 months in a selection of new premium French oak barrels.
