Elegant and yet a fresh and youthful blend of Merlot 72% and Shiraz 28%. The wine is a fine example of the superb blending capacity of these varieties. The Heerenrood was once our Flagship of the Estate, although the blends were slightly different, however it is bought extensively by our agent in Switzerland. The wine has a rich chocolate cherry flavor of fruits with a touch of smoky spice aromas. Wonderful soft tannins with a light sweetness on the finish. This is a wine, which is uncomplicated and possible early drinking.
