Groot Constantia Heerenrood 1989

This blended red wine is the flagship of the Estate. Heerenrood is matured one year longer than the other red wines of the Estate. Heerenrood is full-bodied, well-balanced wine with fine maturation potential. An integrated red wine of great complexity. Soft enough to enjoy on its own. It will stand up to strong dishes, but would do best with lamb, duck and cold meats.
