This blended red wine is the flagship of the Estate. Heerenrood is matured one year longer than any of the other wines produces on Groot Constantia. Heerenrood is a full-bodied well-balanced wine with fine maturation potential. An integrated wine of great complexity. Cabernet Sauvignon and Shiraz from the same year which compliment each other. Released four years later. Matured in Yugoslavian oak. The wine will improve with further bottle maturation.
