Culraithin Shiraz 2001

Intense dark plum red with huge central black core tapering marginally on the rim to a star bright purple hue. The nose is a concentrated ripe rich berry backed with spicy mocha and gentle integrated oak components. The palate is thick and weighty with rounded juicy berry fruits with well-integrated oak tannins that do not mask the fruit but rather enhance it. The mouth feel is youthful at this stage but will develop into a delicious rewarding conclusion. A fine example of one of Paarl's best Shiraz's.
