Excellent ripeness and quality from low yield vineyards gives an intense, deep colour with ripe fruit, black cherries, plums and spice on the nose. The good structure and ripe berry fruit on the palate is well balanced with dry ripe tannins on the finish and will provide for good maturation in the bottle.

about the harvest: These grapes were selected from low yielding vineyards and picked optimum ripeness.

in the cellar : The juice was fermented in open tanks with regular punch-downs to create a well structured wine with ripe tannins.
It was matured in 75% French oak and 25% American oak barrels, of which 28% of the total was new.
