Nose: Exuberant basket of cherries, plums, rhubarb and nuts, developing dark chocolate and wood aromas.
Palate: Soft, likeable and supple, with light tannins underpinning a fruit base of blackcurrants and cherries, with a spiciness of tobacco and fynbos. Also showing the subtle wood influence of nutty almond, coffee and vanilla.
A favourite with red meat casseroles and grilled meats, but would complement meat-based pasta sauces as well.
