Vredenheim 1994

It has received our best attention and was matured in French oak for approximately 8 months. In 1989 the manor house was 200 years old. It is a National Monument as well and we decided it was a good idea to produce a wine in celebration of its birthday. We called the wine "Vredenheim 200" and because of its popularity we continued the range. Vredenheim 1994 has the number 205 on the label showing the age of the manor house in that year.

in the cellar : Our flagship red wine - a spicy, nutty ruby red wine. A revival of the old tradisional SA blend - Cabernet, Shiraz and Tinta Barocca. On the label you will find the manor house with its palm trees and slave bell as well as the majestic entrance to the estate. The label aslo shows Elzabé as a trend setter with her holding out the weathercock. The shooting star is to tell that her wish to settle on a winefarm has come true.
